The Carbon Cred app requires several data permissions to work properly. The app will prompt you to provide these permissions when needed.

If you accidentally click the wrong option, or need to choose a different setting, it can be helpful to know how to adjust these permissions.

iOS (Apple)

1. Open the main iOS Settings app.

2. Scroll down the list of settings and click on the entry for Carbon Cred.

3. Under “Allow Carbon Cred to Access“, make sure Motion & Fitness is checked.

4. Next, open the Location settings.

5. In the Location settings “Allow Location Access” should be set to “Always“. Precise Location should also be checked.

Now all of your permissions are correctly set for Carbon Cred to log your travels.

Android (Google, Samsung, Huawei, etc.)

1. Open the main Settings app.

2. Scroll down the list of settings and click on Apps.

3. Scroll down the list of apps and click on the entry for Carbon Cred.

4. Open the Permissions settings.

5. Open the Location permissions.

6. In the Location permissions “Location access for this app” should be set to “Allow all the time“. “Use precise location” should also be turned on.

7. Go back to the previous screen and open the Physical activity permissions.

8. “Physical activity access for this app” should be set to “Allow“.

Now all of your permissions are correctly set for Carbon Cred to log your travels.
